Client: MES/ADMA-OPCO
Location: Zakum Field in Abu Dhabi
Year: 2014-2015
Overview:
The Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO), a unit of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), awarded an approximately $350-million EPC contract to McDermott International (McDermott) to upgrade Zakum field’s water injection system.
Located approximately 48 nautical miles north-west of Abu Dhabi in the UAE, the field includes five water injection platform modules at Zakum West Super Complex and two modules at Zakum Central Super Complex which are used to maintain pressure in the surrounding wells.
As part of the EPCI deliverables, it was required to implement RBI on the new assets.
What we did:
LifeTech Engineering used our RBI software (RBLX) to perform Corrosion Risk Assessment and Risk Based Inspection study on client’s Pressure Vessels, Piping and Pipelines. The SoW includes:
- CRA and RBI on ZAKUM field
- Corrosion Risk Assessment
- Risk-Based Inspection
- Use RBLX RBI Software in the Assessments
We successfully completed the project and received very positive feedback from the client.
