Terms and Conditions for Classroom, Online and In-House Training Courses


The terms and conditions provided in this document, constitute the whole agreement between you and LifeTech Engineering Ltd concerning the training course you register.

All other terms and conditions, express or implied by statute or otherwise, are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

2. Application

a – Apply online at https://www.Lteng.co.uk or send us an email to training@Lteng.co.uk
b – Complete and email us the enrolment form which will be sent to you.
c – If you are being sponsored, emails and joining instructions will be sent directly to the sponsor.

3. Payment

Full payment or Company Purchase Order is required before attending or log-in to any courses.

Upon receipt of the full payment, the joining instructions will be emailed to you.

In the event of non-payment by your sponsor, you accept responsibility for any training or examination fees.

Both UK and overseas students are required to pay the applicable VAT.

4. Cancellation or Course Date Changes

Courses have a 14-day refund policy from the day of purchase, providing you have not accessed/logged into your course.

If you give less than 14 days’ cancellation notice prior to the start date of the course, LifeTech Engineering Ltd reserves the right to retain the full fee.

Should you require to change the date of your course, there will be an administration fee of £60 for each transfer request.

LifeTech Engineering Ltd reserves the right to alter the advertised schedule of training, which may include cancellation of an event.

Where LifeTech Engineering cancels an event, if you have a confirmed booking, you will be offered alternative dates. If none can be provided or agreed, then a full refund will be given.

LifeTech Engineering Ltd will not be liable for any losses or expenses, including consequential, arising from any such alterations or amendments to the programme content and schedule including cancellation.

5. Complaints

Any complaints shall be received within seven days of the training date.

Your feedback is important to us and will be used to improve our training process but will not be treated as a complaint.

6. Disabilities and Special Needs

You must notify LifeTech Engineering Ltd in advance of the training date of any disabilities and/or special needs. LifeTech Engineering may not be able to make reasonable adjustments without prior notification.

7. Warranties and Liability

LifeTech Engineering Ltd will conduct the course per the description made in the Training Proposal and will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that any Course provided is dispensed with reasonable skill and care and will follow practices consistent with the professional standards in the industry.

The total liability of LifeTech Engineering Ltd., on all claims of any kind, whether in contract, warranty, indemnity, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise, arising out of or related to the agreement, or its performance or breach, shall not exceed the course price paid for the course in respect of which the claim is made.

In no event shall LifeTech Engineering Ltd. or its subcontractors be liable for any loss of profits, or goodwill or for any special or indirect or consequential damages arising under the contract in delivering the course (s). This article shall prevail over any conflicting or inconsistent terms in the agreement unless those terms further restrict LifeTech Engineering Ltd.’s liability.

All conditions and warranties not expressly outlined in the contract and whether expressed or implied are excluded to the fullest extent permissible by law. In particular but without limiting the generality of the foregoing, LifeTech Engineering Ltd. shall not be liable for any practical use made by the attendees, customer or any agent or employee of the customer, of the information contained in the courses or any related training material.

Customer shall indemnify LifeTech Engineering Ltd. against all liabilities, costs, expenses, damages and losses (including any direct or indirect consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation and all interest, penalties and legal and other professional costs and expenses) suffered or incurred by LifeTech Engineering Ltd. arising out of or in connection with:

    • Any breach of customer, its employees, agents or subcontractors or any of the Attendees of any provisions of the contract;
    • any negligence or other tortious conduct of customer, its employees, agents or subcontractors or any of the Attendees; and
    • any claim made against LifeTech Engineering Ltd. by a third party for death, personal injury or damage to property which is attributable to the acts or omissions of customer, its employees, agents or subcontractors or any of the Attendees.

Neither Party excludes or seeks to limit its liability in respect of death or personal injury, fraud, willful misconduct or gross negligence.

8. Force Majeure

LifeTech Engineering Ltd. shall not be liable or be considered to be in breach or default of its obligations under the contract to the extent that performance of such obligations is delayed or prevented, directly or indirectly, due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to,

(i) acts of God, acts (or omissions) of governmental authorities, fires, severe weather conditions, earthquakes, strikes or other labor disturbances, floods, risk of kidnapping, war (declared or undeclared), armed conflict, acts or threats of terrorism, epidemics, civil unrest, riot, delays in transportation, or car shortages; or

(ii) acts (or omissions) of Customer or Customer’s suppliers or agents. LifeTech Engineering Ltd. shall notify the customer in the event of any such delay. The Course Date shall be extended for a period equal to the time lost because of delay, plus such additional time as may be reasonably necessary to overcome the effect of such delay. LifeTech Engineering Ltd. shall notify customer, as soon as practicable, of the revised Course Date.

9. Copyright and Intellectual Property

LifeTech Engineering Ltd. holds the copyright on all training materials. You shall not copy, resell, pass on to third parties or upload to the internet any training material or methodology that you receive from LifeTech Engineering Ltd. during your training.

10. Exclusion

LifeTech Engineering Ltd can refuse access to its facilities and premises where they believe that a delegate is in breach of the conditions or where a delegate uses threatening, bullying, harassing or disruptive behaviour. LifeTech Engineering Ltd will not be liable for any losses or expenses, including course fees and consequential damage, arising from any such exclusion.

11. Data Protection

LifeTech Engineering Ltd will hold and use personal data supplied by you for administration purposes as per GDPR requirements.

LifeTech Engineering Ltd. occasionally takes pictures of training for publicity, and other purposes and that permission for your inclusion in such material is implied unless you make it known to LifeTech Engineering Ltd. at registration that you don’t wish to feature.

12. Applicable Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland and each party irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
